What Bosch announced
Bosch announced three additions to its Daily Helpers line on 30 July 2026: the Filio gas level detector, the Tweo cordless stapler and the GlassVac cordless window cleaner. The announcement presents them as compact tools for recurring household and DIY tasks. It does not publish a price or a local availability date, so this is a product-news briefing, not a buying verdict.
Filio: a fill-level check, not a gas-safety inspection
Bosch says Filio uses ultrasound measurement and magnets to check the level in common steel or aluminium cylinders containing propane or butane, from 200 to 350 mm in diameter. LEDs, a light ring and an acoustic signal indicate the result. That could be useful before a barbecue, patio-heater or camping trip when the question is whether a cylinder needs replacing.
The useful boundary is just as important: a fill-level reading is not a leak test or a substitute for the cylinder maker's instructions. If you smell gas or suspect a damaged connection, stop using the setup, move away from ignition sources and follow local gas-safety guidance. Do not turn a small electronic tool into a reason to handle a pressurised cylinder or regulator unnecessarily.
Tweo: compact fastening with a defined material range
The cordless Tweo is described as the successor to Bosch's PTK 3.6 LI. Bosch says it fastens fabric, cardboard or paper to soft wood, and that its BA 4V exchangeable battery charges through the tool's USB port. The nose must be pressed firmly for a shot to trigger, while battery and staple indicators show the remaining supplies. A multi-page attachment is included and is specified for up to 60 sheets of paper.
For a home project, the choice question is the workpiece rather than the compact format. The announcement names soft wood and the listed lightweight materials; it does not establish suitability for hardwood, structural fixing or every staple type. Confirm the material, staple specification and regional kit contents before buying. Keep fingers away from the nose and staple path, and disconnect or secure the tool before clearing a jam.
GlassVac: the window-cleaning option
GlassVac is the cleaning tool in the announcement. Bosch says its triple-lip system is intended for windows, mirrors and tiles, with a removable 120 mm dirty-water tank and unrestricted 360-degree use, including horizontal or overhead positions. The stated kit includes a spray bottle, washable microfibre cloth, and 280 mm and 140 mm suction heads.
Bosch also states that its BA 4V battery takes approximately two hours to charge in the tool, with up to 35 minutes of runtime and a claimed cleaning area of around 120 m², or about 40 windows. These are manufacturer figures, not House & Tools test results. Buyers should check whether the battery is included in the regional package, whether the two head widths fit the windows they clean most often, and whether a removable tank matters more than a lower-cost manual setup. Hold the tool securely when working overhead and empty the tank hygienically after use.
What remains open before a purchase
- Price and availability: Bosch's announcement gives neither a price nor a delivery timetable.
- Regional compatibility: check the local package, charger or battery designation, cylinder dimensions and consumables.
